T-Mobile Prepaid Hit by Significant Data Breach

The breach, estimated to have affected more than a million customers, came from malicious external actors. More than a million T-Mobile prepaid customers’ personal information and account details were exposed in a data breach. According to the company no payment information, Social Security numbers, or passwords were exposed in the breach, which it described as “malicious, unauthorized access.” T-Mobile informed effected customers on Friday and says that the unauthorized access was shut down by its internal security team.
