Backups Saved 16,000 Patient Records from Ransomware

Cyber attacks on hospitals and other healthcare institutions have increased over the last 18 months, in part because they make attractive targets for the cybercriminals who spread ransomware, according to the latest research. A recent survey conducted by the American Medical Association found that 83% of physician’s practices have experienced some type of cyber attack.
